Okuma
Summer, 2023
During my time as the marketing intern for Okuma America Corporation, I had the opportunity to help with business strategy and creative work for a couple of different projects:
First, we had to find a way to appeal to predominately middle aged, republican, male, machine distributors in the middle of the summer.
Here, the “Red, White, & Blue Summer Sale” was created.

I created the campaign flyer, which would be handed off to our sales team to use in their field marketing efforts.
The sale ended up being a success, with the team surpassing their quota on luxury machinery sales.
Next, we had to communicate our rebrand from “THINC Partners” to “Partners in technology” to our Okuma coworkers and key partners.
We decided upon hosting a launch party event at the partners in technology facility, open for our coworkers and Charlotte brand partners to learn about our new program while enjoying some lunch and popping some champagne.

I had the opportunity to create flyer marketing for this as well!
Finally, my biggest project was building a updated brand deck for Okuma’s sales team.
The sales team presented a problem to marketing: that their sales deck they’ve been presenting to prospects and distributors had outdated information and visuals.
The team was looking for a new deck that:
appealed to Okuma’s target audience, had a modern design, and was packed with information for the sales team to use, add to, or remove, depending on their client.
With this, I built a 80-page slide deck that reflected the sales teams’ needs, presenting the deck to our company’s VP.

Here are a few example slides from the deck!
